Growing in Vocabulary

The Word of the Day for March 31 is:

vivacious \vuh-VAY-shus\ adjective
lively in temper, conduct, or spirit : sprightly

Example sentence:
The hostess was a pretty, vivacious woman with a knack for making
people feel comfortable.

Did you know?
It's no surprise that "vivacious" means "full of life," since it
can be traced back to the Latin verb "vivere," meaning "to live." The
word was created around the mid-17th century using the Latin adjective
"vivax," meaning "long-lived, vigorous, high-spirited." Other descendants
of "vivere" in English include "survive," "revive," and "victual" --
all of which came to life during the 15th century -- and "vivid" and
"convivial," both of which surfaced around the same time as "vivacious."
Somewhat surprisingly, the word "live" is not related; it comes to us
from the Old English word "libban."

Personal development and growth

"We can never really change someone; people must change themselves. But we can help. We can be a resource." Stephen R. Covey

Personal development requires personal change and it starts from within.
You need to improve on your self-awareness. You need to work on your attitude. You got to start believing in yourself.
The better you understand yourself the better you understand others. And the more your relationship will flourish.
You have to have a self improvement plan for your personal development and growth.
And then take consistent and continuous actions.
You will do better if you work on yourself instead of worrying about your conditions.
If you work on yourself, your life will change.
You have to develop your skills.
You have the choice to grow, learn, and become the person you aspire and mastering your life.
You can choose to stagnate, to hesitate, and remain fearful and doubtful and live in mediocrity.
You are responsible for your frustrations, indecisions and lack of progress.
It is your choice.
When you know in which direction you want to go and the lifestyle you want to have you will manage yourself. And you will change.
When you change you grow.

Planned Growth

"Personal growth," may be something we can not always plan. However, there are many kinds of growth that planning might be necessary. Can you think of any examples? How might we plan for these other kinds of growth?
